Amit Pabari – Principal Dentist.
Having graduated from the University of Liverpool, Amit has been pursuing his interests in facial aesthetics & orthodontics. Winning an award in a paper in relation to the ‘Golden Proportion – the aesthetically pleasing smile’, his attention to detail has enabled him to provide many patients with excellent cosmetic results.
Amit is committed to postgraduate education and is currently undertaking a Diploma in Restorative Dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons & has completed multiple cosmetic & orthodontic courses.
Having also received training in sedation, Amit is extremely experienced in treating nervous and anxious patients in all aspects of Dentistry.
Amit is continuously building upon his skills and dedicates himself entirely to each and every patient.

Nicholas Shackleton – Associate Dentist.
After graduating from Manchester in 1996, Nick spent 20 years working in a large 8 surgery practice in Telford where he eventually became a partner in 2000.
In 2016 Nick sold his practice which enabled him to concentrate on the aspects of dentistry he particularly enjoys such as; helping patients to achieve excellent looking, confident smiles through cosmetic crowns and bridges, as well as Invisalign orthodontics.
Nick has attended many postgraduate courses including Invisalign and Dominic Hassall’s Contemporary Restorative programme, Aesthetic Dentistry residential course and has also completed training in Botox and dermal fillers.
“ I am married with two children. I am unfortunately for my wife a petrol head had heart and enjoy anything car related. I do however make up for this with my second passion next to dentistry as I am a pretty decent cook! “
Gursh Bajwa – Associate Dentist.
Having trained at Guys Hospital, London, Gursh has completed a two year training program with the Royal College of Surgeons in Restorative Dentistry. His active role in continuing his studies has kept him abreast of the latest advances in the dental field. Deeply committed to continuing education, Dr Bajwa constantly enhances his knowledge by participating in courses throughout the world.
In the important areas of orthodontics, he has been responsible for numerous treatments since 2003 when he started with fixed braces under the guidance of an orthodontist in the Midlands. He has completed further training in post-graduate courses in Orthodontics with Dr Derek Mahony, an internationally-recognised practicing orthodontic consultant renowned for developing dental treatments as part of complete face enhancement.
Gursh has completed a one year residency program with Dr Mahony in Passive Self Ligating Fixed Orthodontic Appliances as well as Dr Mahony’s three year Masters program in Full Face Orthodontics. This is currently being converted to a MClinDent in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics with the BPP university in London. Gursh also completed a residency at Dr Mahony’s orthodontic practice in Sydney in Dec 2010 where he was exposed to over one hundred patients per working day. Gursh has also completed training with Dr Ian Hutchinson – an orthodontist who focuses on lingual braces and has completed numerous Invisalign, Lingual and 6 Month Braces cases.
Gursh visits the USA on a regular basis to gain experience in the latest techniques, as well as in the UK. He frequently takes part in study groups throughout the West Midlands and since completing a training programme in sedation, he has completed more than 1,000 sedation-assisted treatments.

Carl Horton – Dental Implants and Periodontics.
Carl Horton is passionate about dentistry and has travelled the world sharing his knowledge and lecturing extensively on treatment models and his pioneering research. After graduating from Birmingham Dental Hospital in 1996 Carl worked predominately in private general practice. He went on to complete an MSc in periodontology and implantology.
Carl also assists in the training of foundation stage dentists at Birmingham University, in both clinical practice and restorative procedures, as well as delivering postgraduate lectures. With a special interest in periodontology and treating patients with aesthetic concerns, his vast experience covers non-surgical and surgical aspects of periodontal care, implants, guided tissue regeneration and gingival grafting techniques to replace lost gum and bone.
Carl has a jargon-free approach to dentistry, and joins a growing number of dentists who wish to challenge negative preconceptions and build a friendly, patient-focused image for their profession.
Kevin Thomas – Clinical Dental Technician.
City & Guild Final Certificate in Dental Technology, Royal College of Surgeons in Diploma in Clinical Dental Technology. Kevin has been a practicing dental technician for over 35 years.

Joanne Holmes – Dental Hygienist.
Jo Holmes qualified as a dental hygienist in 1984 from Birmingham Dental School, where she was awarded the Oral B prize for student of the year.
She is totally committed to her work as a dental hygienist and focuses her work on achieving & maintaining the highest level of oral health for her patients. She has worked with the team at Stourbridge Dental & Implant Clinic since 1987.
Jo has worked in many fields, including special needs, children and with the very nervous. She is also an active member of the BSDHT, attending their regular meetings, and also other health related courses to continue her on going professional development.
Laura Brettle – Dental Hygienist.
Laura qualified as a Dental Hygienist at the Birmingham Dental Hospital in 2002.
She enjoys educating and motivating patients to maintain good oral health and being involved in the treatment of dental disease.
She also attends courses to ensure continuing professional development in her career.
Laura joined the practice in 2006 and enjoys being part of the team at Stourbridge Dental & Implant Clinic.
Laura Harding – Practice Manager.
Laura qualified as a dental nurse in 2014 at Hoople Training Academy.
She has a keen interest in implant dentistry and has completed an implant training course.
Currently she is on a course for impression taking and sedation where she has to build up so many cases and then complete a final exam.
Laura is the friendly face that greats all new patients and current patients coming into the practice for a consultation.
Helen Weaver – Dental Nurse.
Helen trained and qualified as a dental nurse back in 1986 at Birmingham Dental Hospital.
She has always been involved with dentistry and has worked at practices with different backgrounds, such as; community, NHS and private dentistry.
Helen has received implant training and has completed a fluoride application course.
At the moment Helen is training towards completing her impression taking course and sedation course.
Lindsay Sharratt – Dental Nurse.
Lindsay has been nursing since back in 2001 and gained her National Certificate in March 2003.
Lindsay has completed various extra qualifications on top of dental nursing such as; Radiography, Strauman implant course, SAAD Dental nurse national course and Invisalign Training.
She decided to take a break in-between her dental career and also managed her own childminding business, achieving a Level 3 Diploma for the children and young people’s workforce.

Elizabeth Grenfell – Receptionist.
Elizabeth joined the team 7 years ago as a receptionist and therefore is the first point of call at the clinic. She enjoys interacting with patients and is always happy to help, providing the patients at Stourbridge Dental & Implant Clinic the highest level of care and support.
In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys reading, spending time with her family and friends and walking her dog ‘Poppy’

Sarah Harvey – Administrator.
Sarah has worked with the clinic for the last 26 years and joined the clinic straight from school.
The role of receptionist within the practice was one she enjoyed, interacting with patients and providing a high level of care and support for the patients and the team. Since having her two children, Sarah has continued her work in an administrative role, behind the scenes, part time. The practice has been a big part of her career and she is dedicated to continue working with the team at Stourbridge Dental & Implant Clinic.
